What is a Volumetric Mixer?

A volumetric concrete mixer is the polar opposite of the traditional tumbler method of concrete mixing. With a volumetric mixer, there are separate compartments for water, cement and aggregate. In addition there are containers for additional acids and other mix modifiers.

With volumetric mixers, your concrete is mixed by the short load concrete truck at the job site, no matter where it is. With this on-site feature, you never waste concrete and never have to deal with a “hot load” or the dreaded problem of a ruined mixer because your concrete set inside the mixer drum.

Volumetric mixers are also more flexible. You can load up a truck the night before and head to a job site at a moment's notice. For special concrete pours, and with support vehicles to load materials, you can keep on pouring throughout the day and night.
